Škoda Auto has produced its four millionth SUV, meeting the strong customer demand for this type of vehicle. The brand’s first modern SUV was the Yeti introduced in 2009. Now, with seven model ranges, Škoda boasts its largest SUV lineup in history. From the sub-four-meter-long Kylaq and Kushaq built in India to Kamiq, Karoq, and Kodiaq, all the way to the fully electric models Elroq and Enyaq – including the Enyaq Coupé – Škoda offers a diverse range of options catering to various needs. SUVs now account for about half of Škoda’s total deliveries. The Elroq and Enyaq are also among Europe’s most popular electric vehicles. Locally developed and manufactured models have led to a significant increase in sales in India.
The global production of Škoda SUVs spans across different countries such as Czech Republic, India, Ukraine, Vietnam; starting from 2024 also Kazakhstan will join this list.
Andreas Dick, Executive Board Member for Production and Logistics at Škoda Auto, stated: „The success story of Škoda SUVs has reached another milestone – four million vehicles built is clear evidence that our wide model range and global production network meet diverse customer demands worldwide. From compact sub-four-meter-length SUVs to spacious seven-seaters including efficient versatile electric models; Škoda provides solutions that cater to a variety of requirements.“
The Widest Model Range Ever: Meeting Various Customer Needs
The current portfolio includes twelve model ranges with seven dedicated to SUVs alone which now contribute over 55% towards overall brand deliveries.
