Škoda Auto has produced its four millionth SUV, meeting the strong customer demand for this type of vehicle. The brand’s first modern SUV was the Yeti introduced in 2009. Today, with seven model ranges, Škoda boasts its largest SUV lineup in history. From the sub-four-meter-long Kylaq and Kushaq built in India to Kamiq, Karoq, and Kodiaq, all the way to the fully electric models Elroq and Enyaq – including the Enyaq Coupé – Škoda offers a diverse range of options catering to various market segments.
The success story continues with SUVs accounting for about half of Škoda’s total deliveries. The Elroq and Enyaq have become some of Europe’s most popular electric vehicles. Locally developed and manufactured models have also driven significant sales growth in India.
Škoda SUVs are manufactured worldwide across multiple countries such as Czech Republic, India, Ukraine, Vietnam (since 2024), and Kazakhstan (from 2024). Recently unveiled was the Škoda Epiq Showcar set to enter production next year alongside another model based on Vision 7S concept car.
Andreas Dick, Board Member for Production and Logistics at Škoda Auto stated: „The milestone achievement of four million built Škoda SUVs is a clear testament that our broad model range coupled with our global production network effectively meets diverse customer demands worldwide.“
The current portfolio includes twelve model ranges with seven falling under the SUV segment. These SUVs now make up over 55% of all brand deliveries. In fact, during H1 this year alone, they were among Škoda’s top-selling models: Kodiaq ranked second with 64,800 deliveries followed by compact Kamiq at third place with 64 ,100 units sold.
Newer additions like the fully electric Elrog continue climbing up European EV sales charts while Enyaqs family remains pivotal for overall success within this segment.
